Club members participating in the Club’s Port Welshpool weekend experienced a great trip with lots of fun and highlights. Port Welshpool/Corner Inlet is very tidal, with an entrance that faces to the east and flows up into myriad arms and branches and provides a lot of options of where to fish and what species to target.
There were some good catches on both Friday and Sunday which were competition days. Saturday which was scheduled as a competition day was unfortunately blown out with a strong easterly wind arriving as predicted and giving us impossible fishing conditions.
BMYS Club crews were also joined by some boats from The Knox Club Sport Fishing Club.

The BBQ at Steve Lopes's residence at Port Welshpool was a great night as was the dinner at the Welshpool pub on Friday evening.
Marc Norris, John Giuliano and Rohan Carroll who crewed together were easy winners of the ‘self-catered gourmet meals prize’.
Thanks to Steve Lopes and the Fishing Committee for putting the weekend together and keeping the event over the weekend on track.
