Port Welshpool Fishing Competition Fri 3rd - Sun 5th March

Port Welshpool Fishing Weekend. Fantastic fishing location catering for smaller boats wanting to fish inshore or larger boats wishing to go offshore.

An information night will be held at BMYS downstairs bar Wednesday 22nd Feb at 7pm.

The Port Welshpool area is a fantastic fishing location catering for smaller boats wanting to fish inshore or larger boats wishing to go offshore. Fish on offer are Gummy Shark, Snapper, Whiting, Flathead, Squid and Kingfish.

Bookings are essential via the website. Registration must be 48 hours prior to the event.
Note the family entrance fee entitles you and your partner and kids to fish the complete weekend.

NOTE: The following tickets exist for this event. Multiple tickets can be added - e.g. 2 x Adult in the same booking. Add required tickets BEFORE continuing to payments.

Fishing Times:

• • Fishing Friday from 5am with weigh in at 5pm
  • Fishing Saturday from 5am with weigh in at 5pm
  • Fishing Sunday from 5am with weigh in at 12pm

 Notes: 

• • All sharks and gamefish must be gilled and gutted prior to weigh in
  • All fish weighed must be at least 300mm long

Communications: VHF Channel 72 and 27 MEG Channel 27 (Check in on Launch/Retrieval is Compulsory)
Safety Equipment: Port Welshpool requires all boats to carry a full offshore flare and safety kit. This applies to all waters both inshore and offshore.
