Join in the annual Orbost fishing competition, with a full weekend planned. The Orbost fishing trip is a great weekend of fishing. Get your team together and enter for this exciting competition between the BMYS and Orbost clubs.
Friday: Inter-club brag mat competition for BMYS members and guests. A BBQ lunch will be provided at the slips, contingent on the weather.
Saturday: The main event; our contest against the Orbost Angling Club, with a weigh-in for the catch. A BBQ lunch will be available at the Brody ramp, weather permitting once more.
Orbost Fishing Competition is a great weekend of fishing with the BMYS and Orbost clubs. Come and fish the Marlo estuary including the Snowy and Brodribb Rivers. Fantastic area for large Black Bream , Flathead and Luderick.

This is required to finalize arrangements concerning catering, the presentation venue, transportation, and more. All entrants MUST register with the Fishing Committee.

BMYS away competitions from July 2023 will be decided by way of measurements rather than weight. As can be seen from Fridays comp which is a BMYS only comp the prizes have been changed to length rather than weight.
As the Saturday event is hosted by Orbost this will be by weight as this is their method of choice.
The competition is for the waters of the Brodribb River, Snowy River and its lakes and backwaters. Ramps permitted are Marlo and Brody ramps.
General fishing rules are as per BMYS documented competition rules available on the club website. Members to also ensure that they have knowledge of any specific local regulations pertaining to slot limit and bag limits.
