Ricketts Point Regatta NavRally

This event was carried over from the previous weekend when poor weather led to its cancellation.

Competitors enjoyed cool sunny autumn weather and light winds. This contributed to some excellent low penalty scoring with John and Anita Giuliano (Number B48 - Black Dolphin) prevailing in a very tight finish.

Bill Joughin and Andrew Cropley (Number B107 -  Spirit Level) finished strongly in 2nd place with Robert Mignone and Matthew Hunt (Number 2 - Mystique) in a tight 3rd place.

Commodore Les Sabo and Kim Kirkpatrick (Number 6 -  Lots of Knots) were winners of the handicap prize and doubled up to win the participation prize of a magnificent Engel icebox generously donated by Club sponsor Engel.

This was the final event of the BMYS 2021 NavRally series and it was pleasing that all events were able to be successfully completed this year.

Noel McNicol from the Boating Committee is also pictured here supporting the event with the Parkdale Yacht Club Rescue boat.

Also pictured are boats from Mordialloc Yacht Club (Number 8 - Lola) and Sandringham Yacht Club (Number S52 - Malahini) -  thanks guys for your participation and support.

Thanks are due to Ian Whiteside and the Boating Committee for their successful completion of this event and of the BMYS 2021 NavRally series.
