Southern Sportfishing and Streaker Marine Family Fishing Day Sunday 28th March
The Southern Sportfishing and Streaker Marine Family sponsored Fishing Day was hosted by the BMYS Fishing Committee last Sunday. Whilst the weather in the days leading up to this event was wet and windy, on the day it was clear although a bit lumpy for those who ventured outside the shelter of the Beaumaris Bay. The event was well attended with 22 boats participating and more than 40 participants. The winners on the day were:

Southern Sportfishing donated enough rods and reels to ensure all juniors went home with a prize and it was a highlight of the day to see their smiling faces! Streaker Marine‚'s donation of a Stormy Seas jacket as a participation prize was also greatly appreciated and helps provide an incentive to participate for those not confident in their fishing abilities.
Lastly, thanks to the Fishing Committee and those who jumped in and helped them,for arranging and running the event.
