Navigation Rallies - What are They?
- NOT a race. Be in the right place at the right time.
Timed checkpoints along a course at unknown locations.
- Like orienteering but on the water.
- Boats travel 10 to 12 Nautical Miles at constant speed in just over an hour.
- At checkpoints target time is compared to actual time of arrival.
- Winner is boat that gets closest to their predicted or target times.
- Main thing is to enjoy being on the water and have fun.
